Zain Launches a New Smoking Cessation Program for Employees in Collaboration with King Hussein Cancer Center

Amman July 12th, 2026: As part of its Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) strategy, and in line with its ongoing commitment to promoting employee health and fostering a culture of disease prevention and wellness in the workplace, Zain Jordan has launched a new edition of its Smoking Cessation Program for employees in collaboration with Smoking Cessation Clinic at King Hussein Cancer Foundation & Center (KHCC).

The program aims to support employees who wish to quit smoking by providing specialized treatment services based on the latest evidence-based practices for tobacco dependence treatment. The sessions are conducted at Zain Jordan’s headquarters, ensuring easy access to the program, encouraging employee participation, and enabling participants to receive the medical and behavioral support necessary to maximize their chances of successfully quitting smoking.

The program comprises 60 hours of one-on-one sessions with board-certified pulmonologists specializing in tobacco dependence treatment. Participants also receive behavioral counseling, medical guidance, and personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs, significantly improving their long-term chances of quitting smoking successfully.

This initiative falls under Zain’s Well Being Program, which focuses on promoting employees’ physical and mental health while encouraging the adoption of healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. Through this program, Zain seeks to create a healthier, more productive work environment, enhance employees’ quality of life and overall well-being, and reinforce these values as a core priority and an integral part of its corporate culture.

The initiative also reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between Zain and the King Hussein Cancer Center, underscoring the company's commitment to offering impactful programs that improve employees’ quality of life and empower them to make positive health choices that have a lasting impact on both their personal and professional lives.

Previous editions of the program have delivered remarkable results, achieving an 80% smoking cessation success rate among participants. This outcome highlights the program’s effectiveness and the importance of providing specialized medical and behavioral support to individuals seeking to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The program is implemented twice annually as part of the continued commitment of both Zain and the King Hussein Cancer Center to promoting employee health and strengthening a culture of wellness in the workplace. It is delivered in partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Center’s Smoking Cessation Clinic, established in 2008 to provide specialized support for smokers wishing to quit. The clinic offers comprehensive treatment programs that combine behavioral therapy and pharmacological treatment under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals, helping raise health awareness and prevent smoking-related diseases.
