Jordan Kuwait Bank Signs Agreement with CRIF to Introduce SME Assessment Model and Enhance Credit Decision-Making

Jordan Kuwait Bank has signed a cooperation agreement with CRIF, a leading provider of credit information and digital solutions, to introduce a new assessment model for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers using StrategyOne, CRIF’s platform for supporting and automating credit decisions.

The agreement was signed by Fadi Khalil, Head of Corporate Banking at Jordan Kuwait Bank, and Roberto Ciraci, Head of Consulting and Solutions for the Middle East and Africa at CRIF, and in the presence of Mr. Zuhdi Al Jayousi, Chief Banking Officer at Jordan Kuwait Bank along with representatives from both sides.

The partnership aims to enhance the Bank’s lending processes by accelerating financing application reviews and enabling faster, more accurate, and more efficient credit decisions. By reducing manual processes and minimizing operational bottlenecks throughout the application assessment journey, the initiative will help the Bank deliver faster and smarter lending services while improving the overall customer experience.

The StrategyOne platform will enable the Bank to make more effective use of data in its credit decision-making process. It can also be integrated with the Bank’s loan origination and collections systems, allowing credit teams to make more informed and accurate decisions while reducing the time and resources required to process applications and improving operational efficiency across the lending journey.

Commenting on the agreement, Fadi Khalil, Head of Corporate Banking at Jordan Kuwait Bank, said, “This agreement marks another important step in our efforts to enhance lending services for SMEs by leveraging digital solutions to improve the customer experience. Building a clearer and more comprehensive view of our SME customers will enable us to respond more quickly to customer and market needs and make better use of data to support accurate and well-informed credit decisions.”

He added, “Our collaboration with CRIF combines Jordan Kuwait Bank’s deep understanding of its customers and the local market with CRIF’s extensive regional and international expertise in credit information and solutions. This partnership supports our efforts to create a more efficient and seamless lending journey and to provide banking solutions that keep pace with our customers’ evolving financial needs.”

Roberto Ciraci, Head of Consulting and Solutions for the Middle East and Africa at CRIF, said: “CRIF highly values its partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank and is proud to support the Bank’s ongoing digital transformation. By combining CRIF’s global expertise in credit risk management, decision automation, and data-driven lending with Jordan Kuwait Bank’s deep knowledge of its customers and the local market, we aim to help the Bank accelerate lending decisions, enhance the customer experience, and improve operational efficiency.”

He added: “Through the implementation of StrategyOne, we aim to equip Jordan Kuwait Bank with the tools, flexibility, and capabilities needed to keep pace with the rapid evolution of the financial services sector. By enabling faster, more accurate, and data-driven credit decisions, the Bank will be better positioned to meet growing customer expectations, support sustainable growth, and maintain a strong competitive position in the market.”

Ciraci also emphasized that the collaboration reflects CRIF’s commitment to supporting financial institutions across the region through innovative technologies and data-driven insights that enhance lending processes and deliver tangible, sustainable business value.
