صوت عمان :

In line with its vision to develop employee competencies, align their skills with future requirements, and foster a culture of innovation, Zain Jordan has announced the launch of its first-of-its-kind learning and development program powered by artificial intelligence (AI), titled: "AI-Powered Skill Gap Identification Program."
The program was developed under the leadership of Zain’s Learning and Development team in collaboration with the Data Analytics and AI team, as part of a strategic framework aimed at leveraging AI technologies to improve the work environment and enhance organizational performance, especially in the areas of education and talent management.
This program utilizes advanced analysis of job descriptions and employees' learning records and compares them with global benchmarks in the telecommunications and technology sectors. The goal is to identify the essential and future skills required for each position within the company. This marks a qualitative shift from the traditional development model based on job titles to a more flexible and realistic model grounded in actual, practical skills.
Through this program, Zain aims to redefine its competency development system by designing personalized learning paths tailored to each employee’s needs, aligned with their department’s requirements and supporting the company’s strategic goals. The program also enhances employees’ readiness to keep pace with rapid changes in the labor market and strengthens Zain’s competitiveness in an ever-evolving business landscape.
The initiative reflects Zain’s vision of adopting AI as an empowering tool to drive innovation and strengthen a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization. It also aims to establish a comprehensive and effective professional development ecosystem based on accurate analysis of skill gaps and linking them to custom-designed e-training programs to bridge those gaps.
The program was designed using a scientific methodology that includes several phases: beginning with data collection and analysis using advanced language models, followed by detailed skill reviews in collaboration with department managers to ensure alignment with job requirements. This is then followed by the execution of training paths and regular measurement of outcomes, with continuous updates based on market and technology trends.
This program affirms Zain’s ongoing commitment to investing in its human capital and its belief that skill development is the cornerstone of building a sustainable future for the company and its employees. It also falls within Zain’s broader learning and development ecosystem, which provides employees with diverse training opportunities across technical, soft, and managerial domains, enhancing their professional competencies and contributing to the company’s performance and service quality.
