Umniah Returns to Jordanian Universities for the 13th Edition of "Shababi" Bringing Exclusive Offers and Engaging Experiences to Students

Amman, Jordan – As the new academic year begins, Umniah, a Beyon company and Jordan’s Best Mobile Network, is returning to university campuses with the 13th edition of its annual "Shababi" campaign for 2026. The campaign welcomes students back for a new academic year with exclusive offers, interactive experiences and activities that bring together entertainment, engagement and connection, while introducing students to Umniah’s services and benefits designed around their everyday needs.

Building on its presence at Jordanian universities since 2014, Shababi reaches more than 50,000 students across over 13 universities each year. It provides an opportunity for Umniah to connect directly with young people, understand their interests, and offer experiences that reflect their lifestyles and aspirations.

This year’s campaign puts students at the heart of the experience, with on-campus activities that introduce them to exclusive university offers, encourage interaction with the Shababi team and create opportunities to connect, participate and discover what Umniah has to offer.

Through Shababi, Umniah aims to meet what students look for in a mobile network during their university years, from reliable connectivity and internet access to offers that suit their needs and flexible usage options. As Jordan’s Best Mobile Network, Umniah focuses on delivering a dependable connectivity experience that supports students throughout their day, whether they are attending online lectures, keeping in touch with friends, streaming content or using the digital applications and gaming platforms that are part of everyday life.

Khaldoun Sweidan, Chief Business Officer at Umniah, said: “University life is a time of new experiences, and we want Umniah to be part of that journey from day one. Through Shababi, we meet students on their campuses, listen to what matters to them and offer services and benefits that fit their needs and budgets. Choosing a mobile network is about more than price. It is about reliable connectivity; the value students receive and the experience that supports them in their studies and everyday lives.”

One of the campaign’s defining features is that young people do more than take part in its activities; they help bring them to life. Shababi is delivered by Umniah’s youth team, which recruits and trains young people to take part in on-campus activities, engage directly with students, and represent the brand.

Through this hands-on experience, team members develop practical skills in customer engagement, communication, teamwork, and event coordination. The experience also helps them build professional confidence and gain valuable skills as they prepare to enter the job market. In this way, Shababi strengthens Umniah’s relationship with university students while creating meaningful opportunities for young people to develop their capabilities and gain work experience.

Dina Al-Daoud, Executive Director of Brand and Corporate Communications at Umniah, said: “What makes Shababi special is that young people help create the experience while being part of it themselves. Our presence on university campuses is not just about connecting with students. It also gives young Jordanians the opportunity to work with us, receive training and take on real responsibilities that help them build confidence, gain experience and develop skills for their professional lives. We value the way Shababi brings these two elements together: an engaging experience for university students and a practical learning opportunity for the young people behind the campaign. It is a relationship we continue to build on and develop year after year.”

With its 13th edition, Shababi continues to strengthen Umniah’s connection with university students across Jordan. By going beyond offers and services to create direct engagement, listen to young people and involve them in activities that reflect their interests, the campaign aims to make Umniah a meaningful part of the university experience, both on and off campus.
