Jerash, 23rd July 2026: Reaffirming its continued commitment to supporting Jordan’s cultural and artistic movement, and recognizing the important role of culture and the arts in strengthening national identity and consolidating Jordan’s position as a leading cultural destination in the region, Zain Jordan has extended its sponsorship as the Official Telecommunications Partner of the 40th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.
The festival was inaugurated yesterday evening at the North Theatre in the ancient city of Jerash by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Each year, the Jerash Festival helps stimulate tourism and economic activity in the ancient city of Jerash, while showcasing a civilization that spans thousands of years and highlighting Jordan’s prominent tourism and archaeological landmarks. The festival serves as an important platform for promoting this cultural and historical heritage and drawing attention to one of the world’s oldest historic cities.
Held under the theme “A Legacy That Endures... Generations Unite,” this year’s festival celebrates four decades of cultural and artistic creativity. Its extensive programme features more than 212 cultural, artistic, and literary events, with the participation of leading Jordanian, Arab, and international artists and creators.
The programme also includes heritage performances, theatrical productions, poetry evenings, and family activities, reflecting the festival’s well-established position on the Arab cultural festival calendar.
